Is the dress too long for smaller sizes?

It is cut for a height of about 1.68 m and ends just above the floor. If you are shorter, it wears best with a heel of two to three centimetres; taking it up is usually not necessary.

How do I find the right size?

Eight sizes, one length. Take your usual size for the intended fit, or one size up for more freedom of movement. Exchanges are free both ways for 30 days.

Do I need anything underneath?

No. The outer fabric is worked to be opaque, in backlight too. You can wear the dress straight out of the box.

Can I machine wash it?

Yes. Cold, delicate cycle, inside out, then dried on a hanger so the long hem stays straight.

Is a maxi dress too formal for the daytime?

Deliberately not. The fabric is matt, so the length reads calm rather than formal. With trainers and a denim jacket it works in the morning too.
